LOCATIONS:

Difficult Death will be produced on location in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Our production will encompass locations from French Quarter art galleries and cafes to famed (and possibly haunted!) Garden District mansions. Historical venues such as TIPITINA'S famous house of blues will also participate in production.  Rather than film on studio lots, our company seeks to capture the charismatic ambience of this beautiful city and help encourage renewal by directly renting locations from members of our community.    See locations we are still seeking for production HERE»

MUSICAL SCORE:

  Marianne Nowottny

Recordings from Marianne Nowottny's debut release "AFRAID OF ME" (Abaton Book Company, 1999) will be featured as the film score.   The haunting and beautiful songs were described by NEW YORK PRESS as “one of the most astonishing debuts ever”.

Over the last thirty years, the independent film market has come into fruition, with the independently produced film becoming a significant cultural and economic boon for millions of viewers, producers and investors.  The market for such projects is enormous, due to the flourishing cable and home entertainment industries. Smaller films that don't make it to the "big screen" are still viable in these markets and yield incredible sale revenues versus their production budgets. Innovative and compelling films with artistic merits, such as a film like Difficult Death, frequently make it to the big screen through the festival circuit and become significant cultural landmarks for generations to come.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

Difficult Death will be filmed on a combination of video, 35mm slides + 16mm motion picture film. We will be using specialized high speed and stop motion 16mm in-camera techniques to create the special aesthetic universe of the project. The project will finish on a 35mm black and white film print with an integrated sound track.

FILM PRODUCTION SCHEDULE:    T.B.A.
